With a theatrical flavour, it is the fifth piece to appear in Bright Star: A Song Cycle on Poems by John Keats, a cycle of seven contemporary art songs for soprano voice and piano, capturing the drama of a some of Keats' most famous and alluring poems. Suitable for solo soprano recital or showcase performance, it was first performed at Keats House next to London's Hampstead Heath in 2011.
