This setting of the Kyrie is an excerpt from Music for Celebration. The organ introduces the Kyrie theme, sung by unison choir the first time, then repeated with the assembly. The Christe section is given to unison choir and organ alone. The final Kyrie section, for assembly, unison choir, and organ, is embellished by a vocal descant.
