In 2001 Eric Swiggers (Deurne, 1968) won the first prize of the composition contest organised by the city of Hilvarenbeek with his "Suite for Saxophone Quartet, Piano and Percussion." He also writes contemporary but easily accessible music for symphonic and fanfare band and also pieces for youth wind bands using the pen name "Ennio Salvere." Knights of the Round Table is a nice suite for youth symphonic band in three parts: "King Arthur," "Camelot" and "Excalibur," referring respectively to the hero of the Celtic legends, his castle and his magic sword.
