Published by AJH Brass (A0.1192810).Although released on Seal’s eponymous second album Seal II (1994), ‘Kiss From A Rose’ was actually written back in 1987. Seal wasn’t overly fond of the song and hadn’t put it forward for his first album, but producer Trevor Horn got hold of it for the second album and turned the song into a track that sold 8 million copies worldwide.
It also garnered extra fame in 1995 when it was used as part of the soundtrack to the film Batman Forever, helping it top the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the US and pushing back up to No.4 in the UK charts.
