String Quartet String Quartet - Level 3 - Digital Download

SKU: A0.1125594

Composed by Johann Pachelbel (1680) and James R. Murry (1874). Arranged by Cathie Lowmiller. Christmas,Holiday,Traditional. Score and parts. 15 pages. Cathie Lowmiller #726326. Published by Cathie Lowmiller (A0.1125594).

This popular idea of combining Jolly Old St. Nicholas with (wait for it!) Pachelbel's Canon is presented here as a fun, approachable string quartet. Holiday partygoers enjoy it, and musicians have fun playing it. (Note: the cellist doesn't have to play the ground bass the whole time....!) The Canon sneaks into the arrangement after the Christmas bells introduction and one verse of Jolly Old St. Nicholas...and gradually takes over. But St. Nick never really goes away...
