Holiday partygoers enjoy it, and musicians have fun playing it. (Note: the cellist doesn't have to play the ground bass the whole time....!) The Canon sneaks into the arrangement after the Christmas bells introduction and one verse of Jolly Old St. Nicholas...and gradually takes over. But St. Nick never really goes away...
