Jesu Canon is a marriage of Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring and Pachelbel's Canon in D. In almost 30 years of Church Music Ministry, these two songs are among my most requested for weddings. This is a perfect choice for the Processional; the Bridesmaids walk to Jesu and when the Bride enters the most familiar part of the Canon in D is played. Finally, when all are at the altar the song ends with the closing theme of Jesu. The piece is simple and elegant and can easily be mastered by an early intermediate student or sight read for a last minute addition to a wedding. Give it a try, your bride will thank you!
