In the Crater of a Fallen Giant

For Concert Band

Difficulty: ME

This is a wonderful piece that was inspired by the Crater Lake National Park in Oregon. Crater Lake formed approximately 7,700 years ago when the 12,000ft Mount Mazama Volcano erupted explosively. This caused it to collapse and create an enormous caldera that has since filled with rainwater and snowmelt. This once massive volcano has created an absolutely stunning vista that is simply breathtaking.
