In Flanders Fields, for mezzo-soprano (or alto) (can be sung by male voices as well) and piano.
Excerpt from a large piece for symphonic band, narrator, children’s choir, and mezzo-soprano, entitled « Et si ce n’était qu’un rêve... » (If only it was a dream...), commissioned to celebrate the centennial of the 1918 Armistice (November 11th), premiered on November 11th 2018.
I love so much that song I composed for the voice accompanied by the wind band, that I wanted to make it available more easily, with a piano transcription.
The poem is, of course, the famous one by John McCrae (1915).
