By Queen. By John Deacon. Arranged by Antony Cull. Rock. Score. 5 pages. Antony Cull #3873197. Published by Antony Cull (A0.896163).

A full bass transcription of the Queen classic 'I Want To Break Free'. This is a beginner to intermediate level bass line from the master John Deacon. I have also included a TAB stave throughout with fingering based how Deacon performed the track live.

The vast majority of the song is in second position with a focus on consistent fingerstyle playing. The accents outline the pulse the bass is playing against the drums. There is one super catchy dominant arpeggio fill to transition into the Chorus which moves up to the sixth position. In the last verse we see the introduction of some alternating octave patterns which is relatively easier for more experienced players whilst proving a great introduction to the style for beginners. Enjoy!
