Perelman and Nash, and is based on the 1885 novella “The Tinted Venus” by English author Thomas Anstey Guthrie. The song “I’m a Stranger Here Myself” is sung by the goddess Venus (a statue who has come to life), in which she attempts to understand why Rodney (a New York City barber with whom she’s fallen in love) resists her advances. This arrangement is for wind sextet (flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon and 2 horns). The set comprises full score and parts. Difficulty level : Intermediate.
