This is a musical picture of this most famous landmark, using e harmonic minor throughout the whole song. The student needs to master e harmonic minor. It is better for the student to practice the e harmonic minor scale before playing this song. The left-hand use perfect 5ths moving up and down. The e harmonic minor scale creates a special sound.
For the LH, ms. 1 to 8: have students thumb and pinkie hold in a 5th position. Have the student focus on the pinkie note but playing both thumb and pinkie together. The pinkie is moving from G, going down to E, and C and D. The RH is moving from G position(ms. 1 & 5) to E position (ms.2 & 6), to D position (ms. 3 & 7), and to G position (ms.4 & 8)。
ms. 9,10 & 13, 14: make sure they know the movement on their LH thumb.
ms. 11,12 & 15, 16: make sure they know the movement on their LH pinkie.
