GRAFFITO is written for Marimba with low F, or for Marimba with low A as indicated by ossias in the score. The choice of mallets is left up to the player's discretion, though use of mallets should vary. Sections of the piece in the lower registers should be performed with softer mallets. GRAFFITO is a virtuoso piece, a tour de force for a marimbist.
