GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD is an anthem taken from John Stainer's oratorio, THE CRUXIFIXION, composed in 1887. It gained great popularity in mid-20th Century US and UK as a choral presentation because of its beautiful and dramatic chord changes and melody. Although composed as a Lenten oratorio, this anthem is appropriate year-round for worship and Holy Communion. This arrangement is for an INTERMEDIATE STRING TRIO, (TWO VIOLINS AND CELLO). Individual sheet music for each instrument as well as a score are provided. Arrangements of this anthem by McIntire for SAB choir and Intermediate Piano are also available at this web site.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
