Easily learned by a children's choir, the setting was originally written for a musical drama on the life of William Wilberforce, who led the campaign to abolish the slave trade in the British Empire in 1807. This is perfect for Black History Month or any time a Spiritual is appropriate. In addition to the full score, the treble chorus is appended on one page, as is the cello part.
