Sebastian Lee (1805-1887) worked as a successful cellist and pedagogue among others. in Paris and Hamburg. His school works, etudes and duets are still used in lessons today. Numerous concert pieces for violoncello and piano from Lees feather are also to be found. The Gavotte op. 112 is an effective and multifaceted stylized dance that presents advanced students with challenging tasks.
