Brass Ensemble - Level 4 - Digital Download

SKU: A0.964565

Composed by Samuel Scheidt. Arranged by Betsy Bright. Baroque,Concert. Score and parts. 16 pages. Bright Music Company #6247001. Published by Bright Music Company (A0.964565).

A long time staple of brass repertoire, Samuel Scheidt’s Galliard Battaglia has been brought to life in an assortment of ways by different arrangers over the years. This arrangement is for double brass choir, with 8 voices.  All of the excitement is there, but it doesn’t wear down the trumpets at the end as much as many other arrangements, and it gives a chance for the low brass to shine a bit more.

This is a great piece to add on to any brass choir program. It provides a great audio/visual experience for the audience, the parts are fun to play, and no one gets exhausted in the process. Scheidt for the triple-win!

Instrumentation:

2 Trumpets in Bb

2 Horns in F

2 Trombones

Bass trombone

Tuba
