Composed by Gabriel Faure. Arranged by Clara Obsidian. 19th Century,Chamber,Romantic Period. 18 pages. Clara Obsidian #906717. Published by Clara Obsidian (A0.1318021).

The Élégie (Elegy), Op. 24, composed by French composer Gabriel Fauré in 1880, was first published and performed in public in 1883. Originally for cello and piano, the piece was later orchestrated by Fauré. The work features a somber opening and climaxes with an intense, tempestuous central section, before returning to the elegiac opening theme in C minor.

Originally written as part of the first movement of his Cello Sonata, Fauré however never completed the work, but instead chose to publish this standalone.
