Juan María Solare is a pianist & composer born in Argentina; he lives now in Germany. Main genres: neoclassical, tango argentino. He also composes chamber music & music for choir and orchestra.
Cuando yo era chico teníamos una niñera con la que pasábamos muchas horas a la semana. Hoy, en neo-castellano, dirímos "baby sitter". Esta señora había nacido en la provincia de Corrientes y hablaba guaraní, aunque curiosamente se avergonzaba de hacerlo (las causas hay que buscarlas en las estructuras sociológicas de la Argentina de esa época, los tempranos '70). Se llamaba Florentina Acevedo, pero como no le gustaba su nombre pedía que le dijésemos "Flora". Fue uno de los seres más bondadosos que conocí.
Mucho después (2012) compuse un preludio para piano en su memoria -titulado precisamente "Flora"- cuya grabación está incluida en el ábum "Sombras blancas":
