Arranged by W. David Hedrick. Contemporary. Octavo. 19 pages. William David Hedrick #2023233. Published by William David Hedrick (A0.881474).

"Five Classics for Male Ensemble" is a collection of pieces arranged for the above average male chorus (or quartet). The compositions include: 1. In These Delightful Pleasant Groves; 2. Steal Away; 3. His Eye is on the Sparrow; 4. Wiegenlied (Brahms’ Lullaby) 5. Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring (the accompaniment parts are sung on ""do"" and the text is appropriately sung). These pieces require singers with extended upper ranges and above average breath control. They are very listenable pieces and can be accomplished by better male choruses. I had a group of high school men perform all of these. These pieces may be sung as a group or individually and are suitable for most concert venues, religious services, contests, and festivals. The audio clip has all five songs in a computer rendering in Finale.
