Brass Ensemble - Level 4 - Digital Download

SKU: A0.850725

Composed by Luigi Danza. Arranged by Brian Thompson. Romantic Period. Score and parts. 16 pages. Brian Thompson #428545. Published by Brian Thompson (A0.850725).

Finiculi Finicula was written for the celebration to celebrate the funicular cable car on Mount Vesuvius in 1880. The cable car was destroyed in 1944 when Mount Vesuvius erupted. This is a famous Neopolitan song that was mistaken as a folk song and used by other composers such as Richard Strauss and Nikolai Rimsky Korsakov. This is a fun setting for this Italian celebration song. This arrangement features the trombone the first time through the melody and then passes the melody around between everyone the second time.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
