This chart is written in a Mozambique feel for the verse and solo sections and a Basie swing feel for the chorus. The tune is played by the Bari Sax and 4th Flugel with open solo space for a number of instrumentalists. The reed parts are written with doubles (Alto Saxes double Flute, Tenor Saxes double Clarinet) but parts without doubles are also provided. Brass ranges are mostly moderate although 1st Trumpet requires a G6 in places (with some screech absurdity, although optional lower notes are provided!).
