F. C.’s Jig for violin and cello is from the album "Appalachia Waltz" which features Mark O’Connor and Yo-Yo Ma playing the jig. O’Connor utilized the third movement of his "Fiddle Concerto" and arranged from it a violin and cello duet. The result is thrilling - a virtuoso duet full of melody, interplay and energy, pushing both instruments all the way to its conclusion. "F. C.’s Jig" is a spirited, well known derivation of the "Fiddle Concerto’s" jig. The music is suited for advanced and intermediate levels.
