Composed by Elizabeth Borowsky. 20th Century,Classical,Contemporary. Score. 7 pages. Piano Prodigies #809412. Published by Piano Prodigies (A0.1211864).

In chemistry, entropy is the measure of molecular randomness, or disorder. In simple terms, entropy is “lack of order or predictability; gradual decline into disorder.” Ironically, a successful performance of this piece requires a lot of order, organization, and control as it shows off so many of the technical skills of the performer, from scales and arpeggios to large leaps and a melody in thirds. The intensity builds into a final coda that spins out into the universe. The performer is challenged to transpose this work into all minor keys after learning it in the original key of A minor, so as to demonstrate complete fluency.
