Ecce quam bonum is one of the so-called hymns of "pilgrimage" in the Psalms of David which presumably were sung by the supplicants on the road to Jersusalem. The soprano melody, which often tends to move upwards, as well as the ascending scales in the piano depict in sound the pilgrimage of the Faithful who ascended the Mount Zion in Jerusalem. "Ecce quam bonum" is a very lyrical, moving piece of mid-level difficutly suitable for women's or children's choirs. This piece was commissioned for the Europa Cantat Festival 2015 held in Pecs, Hungary.
