First and third movements are slow and lyrical. The middle movement is energetic and quite challenging for both players. Any of the three movements will stand alone in performance. While written for trombone, solo parts for flute/violin and viola are included and work equally well with any of those as soloist. An computer generated version of the middle movement is provided for listening.
