Composed by Louis Alter. Arranged by Dave Gingras, John E. Dosher. Contemporary. Score. 3 pages. DAVID LEE GINGRAS #5986785. Published by DAVID LEE GINGRAS (A0.794066).

"Do You Know What It Means to Miss New Orleans" is a song written by Eddie DeLange and Louis Alter, which was first heard in the movie New Orleans in 1947, where it was performed by Louis Armstrong and sung by Billie Holiday. This version features a root-based chord-blocking technique that we have used in a number of our arrangements. We also added some simple left-hand fills to make the tune a little more interesting without altering the original melody. We hope you like it!

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
