An arrangement for one treble and one tenor recorder of the traditional English country dance tune “Dick’s Maggot”. The tune appears in Playford’s “The Dancing Master”, an instruction manual designed for dance teaching which was published throughout the 17th and 18th centuries. The term “maggot” is an old English word for a fancy or slight thing of little consequence and when applied to this dance form would often be dedicated to a specific person. The score format of this arrangement is a double stave displaying both parts and the set includes 2 copies. Difficulty level : Intermediate.
