This musical is intended for children, sopranos, actors and instrumental ensembles. The booklet was written by Thomas Gornet and composed by Sally Galet. It was ordered by the Opera de Limoges and won the Prix SACEM de l'Enseignement Musical 2017 for the category creation pour jeunes interpretes (creations intended for young performers).
Four classes worked on it during two school years.
The children and their teacher helped Thomas Gornet to write the booklet, based on the different versions of the classic tale.
Two different stories are suggested. On the one hand you have the story of Cinderella, adapted to today's society. It enhances elements of the text which mean even more today than before, such as lended families and upward mobility. On the other hand, you have the metatheatrical work with children which became itself a narrative aspect of the story. It deals with their first steps on the world of show business, their first experience of seeing their bodies as instruments, but also the student becoming an artist.

Structure:
It is intended for children's choirs of one, two or three voices, soloists (texts and song), sopranos, actors, piccolo transverse flutes, Bb clarinets, soprano saxophones, altos and tenors, bassoons, cornet Bb trumpets, bass tenor trombone, *drums (3 timbales, glockenspiels, vibraphones, xylophones, conga drums, drum kit and deep floor tom and splash cymbal, tom-tom (about 24 diameter), tambourine, two shakers, two claves, two bells, two triangles, vibraslaps, guiros, duck calls), pianos, violins, altos, cellos.
It approximately lasts 55 minutes.
