"Conquest of Paradise", composed by Greek composer Vangelis for Ridley Scott's 1992 film 1492: Conquest of Paradise and the lead single from the album of the same name. The song achieved huge success in many countries, including Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany and Switzerland where it topped the singles chart. The song's popularity had been boosted in Germany by boxer Henry Maske using it as his theme song.

Arranged for String Quartet, the melody is passed around all instruments, with slight variations.
It can also be played by a Sextet - Octet by splitting the double stops.
Fun fact: The chord progression is referenced on the old European theme "La Follia".
