The less famous but beautiful Violina Concerto in d minor by Mendelssohn is arranged for Solo Clarinet and Clarinet Choir. The solo part contains long passages with short notes, somewhat like Spohr's Clarinet Concertos. The instrumentation is Solo Clarinet in B-flat, E-flat Clarinet, B-flat Clarinet 1,2,3,4, Basset Horn (or Alto Clarinet), Bass Clarinet, and Contrabass Clarinet (or Contra-Alto Clarinet).
