The quest for perfect form combined with the organic development of musical content, strong inner tension and rich fantasy, the search for specific form which would reflect the precise content of the composition - all this can be said about the music by Ivana Loudova, a student of Miloslav Kabelac and Olivier Messiaen. The same is true about the composition for solo violin Canto solitario, which the composer wrote as a commission for the 55th International Competition of the Prague Spring 2003.
