Cette composition a été prévue par Otto M. Schwarz comme un morceau qui passe par plusieurs styles différents, comme son Concerto Grosso. Le matériel thématique est introduit d’abord par un quintette de cuivres avant d’être repris par le reste de l’orchestre, et ceci est répété inversement. Constituant l’un des rares exemples de ce type de composition, Brasserie trouvera très certainement une place permanente au répertoire des orchestres d’harmonie.
