Composed by J. S. Bach (1685-1750). Arranged by Rudy Volkmann. Baroque. Score and parts. 42 pages. Rudy Volkmann #6038789. Published by Rudy Volkmann (A0.1005635).

This arrangement of one of the Baroque period's most famous pieces is not for the faint-hearted.  It's a difficult piece, probably for graduate students, but a great tour-de-force for a brass section when it's put together.  And it's doable.  All the long lines are split between different players, and even when everyone is in for a long phrase there are little catch-breath openings for everyone.  But it's a long blow - not many rests for anyone.  If you're looking for a real showpiece for your brass section, this is it.
