A fun and bombastic arrangement of Paul Barbarin's classic toe-tapper! It is a very high energy piece, arranged to be playable by high school level big bands and up, with feature roles for 1st trumpet, trombone, and clarinet. Flute and 2nd clarinet parts are optional. 1st clarinet part may be taken by an alto or tenor sax player if desired.

Vocals are fairly minimal, as tends to be the style in dixieland jazz. Ideally, a band member will fill this role, or two if you fancy adding harmonies!

The long instrumental mid-section contains several (very brief) references to other classic traditional jazz tunes.
