The hit movie Backdraft is one of the earliest soundtracks by award-winning Hollywood composer Hans Zimmer. Starring Kurt Russell amongst many other stars the film plays a dignigned homage to the highly dangerous life of fire workers. Behind the racing engines and blaring sirens the soundtrack is easily lost in the film but is highly charged and a fitting backdrop to the action on screen. This authentic arrangement by Masato Myokoin retains all the excitement and action of the original and will be a great addition to any concert or contest programme. Sure to be a blazing success!

Een selectie van verschillende thema’s uit de muziek bij Backdraft, een film uit 1991 over twee broers die met elkaar in conflict zijn en allebei bij de brandweer in Chicago werken, ondertussen loopt er een gevaarlijke pyromaanrond. Een meeslepende film vol spektakel, waarvan de muzikale thema’s vakkundig zijn bewerkt door de Japanse arrangeur Masato Myokoin.

Die Filmmusik zu Backdraft ist eines der frühen Meisterwerke des deutschen Hollywood-Komponisten Hans Zimmer. Sie ist, wie der Film über einen Feuerwehrmann in Amerika, hoch emotional, stellenweise bombastisch und actiongeladen. Auch die authentische Bearbeitung von Masato Myokoin zeichnet ein lebendiges Bild des harten Alltags und der persönlichen Tragödie des Helden und ist zugleich eine würdevolle Hommage an das gefährliche Leben der Feuerwehrmänner.
