SKU: A0.756861

Composed by Simon Peberdy. Christmas,Contemporary,Sacred. Score and parts. 6 pages. Simon Peberdy #5875. Published by Simon Peberdy (A0.756861).

A setting of the annunciation as a gentle, haunting carol. Originally written for "Dreiklang" to sing, a 3-voice group in Maria Alm, Austria. The soprano was also the flautist, so she needed a bar to grab her flute, and while she was playing, the men had to do the singing - hence no soprano and flute at the same time! Part of a small mass for soprano, tenor, and bass, accompanied by piano / guitar. See "related scores" for the other parts. This piece was first performed in Advent 2013. Please note that the mp3 is not a professional recording! The German text was adapted from Leberecht Dreves "Ave Maria", the English text is by Simon Peberdy.
