Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download

SKU: A0.971458

Composed by J.S. Bach/Charles Gounod. Arranged by Stephen Lay. Baroque,Contemporary,Romantic Period,Sacred,Wedding. Score. 3 pages. Stephen Lay Music #6294659. Published by Stephen Lay Music (A0.971458).

This is a wonderful arrangement for solo piano of the Ave Maria by Charles Gounod. This arrangement is in the key of C Major and so retains the integrity of the Prelude in C, by J.S. Bach, above which Gounod placed his melody. Contrary to the Baroque style, however, the pianist should freely use the damper pedal and infuse much rubato into the piece to best emulate the romanticism of Gounod's style.

Ideal for any church service as a prelude, offertory, meditation, for weddings and funerals or any time there is a devotion to Mary. Also useable for recitals and other performances. .

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters.
