This well-known brazilian classic with the beautiful melody and elegant harmony written by Ary Barroso  is suitable to introduce the samba feeling to  your beginning steelband players, both the pannists and the drummer.  The drum set part is written out in relatively easy samba patterns. 
Repetitive chromatic phrases in the chorus section would help beginning pannists  become accustomed to chromatic hand movements.
