Composed by Shawn Neisen. Contemporary,Sacred. Octavo. 10 pages. Shawn Neisen #3241707. Published by Shawn Neisen (A0.971567).

This piece was one of those that wrote itself.  After visiting the concentration camp, Buchenwald, in Germany,  I felt I had to write something as a memorial piece for the victims of that camp.  The english text of Agnus Dei came across as the perfect text to pair up with the prayer for the dead.  "Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world, have mercy on us. Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world, grant us peace." and "Grant unto them eternal rest, O God.  And let perpetual light shine upon them.  And may the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God the Father, rest in peace."  Provided the textual roadway for the music to be built upon.  .
