Who But the Lord? by Craig Courtney 4-Part - Sheet Music

By Craig Courtney
SATB choir

SKU: BP.BP2112

Composed by Craig Courtney. Arranged by Craig Courtney. Sacred octavos. Sacred, Advent. Octavo. Beckenhorst Press #BP2112. Published by Beckenhorst Press (BP.BP2112).

6 x 9 inches.

Printed product.

An opening tenor/bass chant of an obscure verse of O COME, O COME, EMMANUEL sets the stage for this contemplative consideration of Isaiah 58. While perfect for Advent, the encouraging, hopeful nature of the text makes it useful year round. Scored for SATB Choir and piano and suitable for any service of worship.

Who But the Lord
This song is beautiful and expressive in which the voice parts and keyboard are well crafted to complement each other. The a cappella section adds to the interest of the piece. Even advanced choirs will need rehearsal to achieve the expressive interpretation.

Who but the Lord
Haven't performed it yet, but this beautiful anthem has gone down well at choir rehearsal.Gorgeous melody throughout, lovely, flowing accompaniment. Hope to perform it at Passiontide, possibly without the O come Emmanuel bit, although I think the words are still appropriate for Lent.

Beautiful Arrangement
I selected this piece for our Advent season at church. This piece has some challenging parts for my 30 voice choir, yet simple enough for any choir to take on and learn in a short amount of time.
