Classic Rutter
One of JR's most iconic Christmas anthems, the text and his word painting, along with the challenges posed by his writing, make this a piece that choirs who achieve mastery of it, will be pleased to have done so. Some tricky sotto voce singing, a somewhat high choral tenor tessitura, and three-part 'floating' women's chorus work are among the challenges. Very rewarding, however.

What Sweeter Music
This is such a beautiful composition. My high school and church choirs have sung it in the past and cherish the memory. I find your description of the difficulty level questionable. I think this is an advanced anthem.

lovely piece
This is a challenging piece for both singers and conductor--but worth the effort. Lovely and unique. Something I have both sung and directed and loved both!

What Sweeter Music
This is a beautiful arrangement and slightly different to many of John Rutter's usual carol arrangements. It requires a bit of work to learn it and cope with the key changes but it is well worth the effort.
