I specifically purchased this book because it was the only place I could find the Spitfire Prelude published. I actually want to play the whole prelude and fuge at one of my recitals but the fuge has not been published for organ. I thought I could reduce some of the...

effort of transcribing the whole work by using the Gower arangement of the prelude but it is a shortened verion of the original orchestral work. It's fine to play but there is not enough of it for my liking. I already have most of the other popular Walton transcriptions so this book has not been a good purchase.

It is good to have this comprehensive collection of useful organ pieces in the one volume - popular and accessible.
