Vibrato basics
Ive taught vibrato without any books for many years. But I find this book helpful for several reasons:1. It reminds me to work on vibrato each week as we go thru etude and scale books there it is!2. Some students need the extra exercises presented in this book. It may be saying the same thing I do, but using different words or something about the exercise clicks in their hands or their brains and they are off and running.3. The suggestion is to use those exercises that you find helpful. The older student can experiment with a page or two and choose the ones most helpful to themselves.4. Many of the exercises are fun!5. I dont have to write things out in their notebooks where information is difficult to find if they need to go over something months later6. I probably wont use this with every student, but I find it a useful tool in my teaching arsenal! Some of the exercises can be started right away with beginners and others, like varying the speed is more advanced
