An every-day consulting book
In my orchestral formation I receive lessons with Lees method. However, I was on the need for a personal method book in English for my daily practice. I couldnt find better book than Kummers. It has precise and clear comments from the very basic aspects of playing as well as practical explanations for every bowing technique. The number of exercises promise an always new way to avoid getting bored in daily warmups.

Kummer's Vionocello Method
A fine book---It starts with the most basic technique with notation, including slurs, staccato and time-value notes. It moves to scales, and no where compromises on the integrity of musical theory. Soon, the student and instructor will be playing appealing duets which require precision and purity in their harmonies. With the first 30 pages of this book are some of the most valuable lessons a cellist needs. Advanced playing is also developed with the book, and awaits the practice and skills of the learner.
