  • February 09, 2009 A Useful Book

I have had this book for a few years and still use it occassionally as a primer. It provides ok backings and notation for the tracks. The previous reviewer is incorrect and F, D & A not being a G9 chord. The D is the 5th, The F the 7th and...

the A is the 9th. You do not require all notes to spell out a chord. The 1 & 3 are played by the bass, giving all the notes.

  • July 28, 2007 DON'T Buy it!!!

Many, many chord symbolds/names are wrong - how does only an F an A and a D note add up to a G9 chord? and many more like this. The CD has vocals on it that can't be tuned out, The guitar part can't be isolated either; vocals...

and guitar are on both channels...in a guitar instruction book? Songs are below beginner level and don't inspire/improve playing ability. No commentary for use of tab and cd. Waste of money, I'll give mine to the public library. SAVE YOUR $$$$$. PLease! MIke
