We used this as a Sunday School pageant for children aged 3-15 (with most falling on the younger end of this range). The script was a perfect fit as there were plenty of non-speaking parts for the littlest ones, but a nice handful of speaking parts for the...

older ones. We split the one (rather large) narrator part into three parts, which suited some of our older stronger readers. The music was a collection of traditional hymns and carols, many with fun new texts to suit the theme of the play. It was easy to learn and play. I liked the story of this one. It highlights each of the 12 items in the 12 days of Christmas as each one comes to the manger to welcome Christ. Simple costuming and staging. We added some nice lighting effects as the stars fell from the sky and landed on the Christmas tree. Overall, it was easy to put together and thoroughly enjoyed by our congregation.
