This edition of the Arensky is very easy to read and work from. Sheemusicplus mailed it to me in just a few days, and I was able to use it in a performance. The price was also better than other stores

A warm, lyrical piece. One of the great piano trios, not as grand as the Tchaikovsky or Rachmaninov, but moving and reflective. It is within the capabilities of the competent amateur, and that is important.

Our trio has been playing mostly the andante or adagios of intermediate level pieces, for example the two andantes of Mendelsshon's D minor and C minor piano trios and the andantes of Shubert's piano trios in E-flat major and B-flat major and we just discovered this...

beautiful adagio of Arensky's that is both short and sweet. Since we are not professionals but still long to have the ability to create beautiful music that sounds professional without having to spend two years practicing, this piece was perfect for our needs.
