Flying themes really do seem to be a speciality of Williams, he's created several throughout the decade, perhaps most memorably for E.T. Hook had some amazing, swashbuckling type music to it that payed homage to the the earlier golden age film scores. The presentation is, as usual exquisite...

, following the piece most faithfully. The quality of the music itself is beyond question. It would have been very nice have had more included as a suite, but this piece is so good anyway that i don't really mind.

In the days when Herbert Spencer was working for John Williams, the scores like this were produced and remembered. I only wish there were a longer 'suite' from this score.

Think happy thoughts. He remembers, and then Peter begins to rise up, more, and more, until finally, he bursts out into the air to this beautiful score. The flight to Neverland brings back the magic and wonder in one's self and in the movie. Every time I hear it...

, although with some added phrases, it makes me want to fly away myself. This song, like most of John Williams' songs, is pure genius.
