in a class by itself
This is the only book in my 20 feet of shelves of guitar books where the arrangements and fingerings so perfect, there isn't a single pencil mark in either of my two copies. I wish I knew that Mr. Hodel is getting the royalties he is due or sold the book outright years ago. [...]

Wonderful trnascriptions
Gerald Garcia on his Brazilian Portraits album played some of the Brian Hodel transcriptions in this book. They are outstanding. Listen to the album , then try the transcription in this book. They are not Latin jazz per se, but they have such a wonderful classical + latin sway that you will be persuaded.
