Mozart, Haydn, and even Beethoven in his youth in Bonn, wrote many works like this.
Tafelmusik is modelled upon one of Mozart's five distinctive divertimenti for 3 basset horns (or alto clarinet) KV 439 written for his friend, the clarinet virtuoso, Anton Stadler.
Important note: page 11 of the score should be overprinted with the next (unnumbered) page containing one music system to produce the correct format and give the correct pagination.
